Mahindra launches the Fortuner successor! The 32 kmpl XUV will leave you stunned

Mahindra XUV300 – This compact SUV is specifically designed for those who seek powerful performance, safety, and comfort. Its powerful engine and premium features make it a reliable choice in its segment.

This car offers excellent control and stability on all road conditions, from city driving to highway rides. Its safety features and interior quality also make it a good choice as a family car.

Design: A New Level of Aggression

This car will surprise you from the first glance. Mahindra has borrowed its design language from the XUV.e8 and e9 concepts, and it’s absolutely futuristic. The C-shaped LED DRL signature at the front glows like a sword at night. The body is completely muscular – broad shoulders, 20-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels,

flush door handles, a coupe-style roofline, and connected LED tail lamps at the rear. Overall, this car looks like something between a Range Rover Velar and a BMW X7 – but the price? We’ll tell you later, but first, take heart.

Interiors: The new definition of luxury

The moment you get inside, you’ll feel like you’re sitting in a Mercedes worth Rs. 80-90 lakh. Triple screen setup – 12.3-inch driver display + 12.3-inch infotainment + 12.3-inch co-driver screen. New generation AdrenoX, Level-2+ ADAS, 360° camera, panoramic sunroof, ventilated and massage seats, Sony’s 16-speaker 3D sound system, 256 colors of ambient lighting, and most importantly – rear captain seats with electric recline and ottoman feature! This means the pillion rider will travel like a king.

Performance: The Electric Storm

This is where the real game begins. The Mahindra XUV700 EV will come in two variants:

  • Single Motor RWD – 230 hp, 380 Nm of torque, 0-100 in just 8.5 seconds
  • Dual Motor AWD – 394 hp, 680 Nm of torque, 0-100 in just 4.9 seconds!

This means it’ll beat the Fortuner’s 204 hp diesel engine in a race. And best of all, it’s completely silent. No vibrations, no engine noise. Just the rustle of the wind and the rolling sound of tires.

The car is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol engine is a 1.2-liter turbocharged motor that offers smooth and responsive driving. The diesel engine is available as a 1.5-liter unit that is known for its superior power and fuel economy. This engine delivers good performance even at low RPMs while maintaining stability on the highway.

Both petrol and diesel engine options come with manual and AMT gearboxes, allowing drivers to choose the performance they need.

Mahindra XUV300 Features

It offers advanced safety features like seven airbags, ABS, EBD, ESP, and hill-start assist. It also offers features like a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, automatic climate control, and an electric sunroof. All of these features make it even more practical and comfortable.

The car also comes with a reverse parking camera, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, and a tire pressure monitoring system. These features make it a tech-loaded and modern SUV in its segment.

Mahindra XUV300 Design & Mileag

Its appearance is quite sporty and muscular, with a front grille, LED DRLs, and aerodynamic body design giving it a premium road presence. Its interior is also very comfortable and crafted from premium materials, making even long journeys feel comfortable.

In terms of mileage, the petrol variant can average around 16-18 kmpl, while the diesel engine offers around 20-22 kmpl. This makes it a fuel-efficient car, especially for daily commutes.

Mahindra XUV300 Price & EMI

Its price in India varies depending on the variant and engine options. This car falls in the mid-range budget and is considered a value-for-money option due to its safety, features, and performance. Prices may vary slightly between online and offline markets.

Speaking of EMIs, depending on the down payment and bank interest rate, monthly installments can be quite affordable. This also provides an easy financing option for families and new car buyers.

Now, let’s get to the real deal. The Mahindra XUV700 EV is priced starting at just ₹28-30 lakh (ex-showroom)! Even the top variant is under ₹45 lakh (ex-showroom). That means it’s cheaper than the Fortuner’s base model (₹37-38 lakh), yet even more feature-rich, faster, more luxurious, and more eco-friendly.

The end of Fortuner?

The Toyota Fortuner reigned supreme for 15 years. But times have changed. Those who used to spend 40 lakh rupees to buy a car with 10 km/h and outdated features can now find a car with double the range, twice the luxury, twice the performance, and ten times more mileage for the same price. Rising diesel prices, pollution, and the EV era by 2030 – all are in Mahindra’s favor.
